Andy Hoekstra honed his work skills at Streator Unlimited, then worked with the Success program. Now he works in the parts department at Bill Walsh Chevrolet. He was recently elected to the Kiwanis Club of Streator Board of Directors and encourages people to support the club's annual peanut sale. Q. What's the best day you've ever had? A. All the days I went to Bulls, Bears, Cubs and Chiefs games. Q. If you were president of the U.S., what's the first thing you'd do? A. Give people raises. Q. If you could be granted one wish, what would it be? A. Meet Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher. Q. If you could interview anyone, dead or alive, who would it be and what would you ask them? A. Grandma Walker, who passed away — I'd love the chance to spend some more time with her. Q. If you could live the life of a cartoon character, who would it be? A. Bugs Bunny. Q. If everything you wore had to be one color, what would it be? A. Cubbie Blue. Q. If you were able to cancel one event in history, what would it be? A. The White Sox winning the World Series. Q. What is one thing people should know about you? A. I love to help people, especially the mechanics at work by getting them the auto parts they need. Q. If you were an animal for a day, which animal would you choose to be? A. Leopard — they're fast. Q. If you could give your parents anything, what would it be? A. A trip to Las Vegas. Q. What pets do you have? A. Two Chihuahuas — Wrigley and Rufus. Q. What should all parents tell their children besides 'I love you?' A. Good night. Q. Where is your favorite spot to be alone? A. My bedroom watching sports. Q. What's your favorite souvenir? A. A Cubs bobblehead I got at a Cubs game. Q. What makes a good party? A. I like to host pay-per-view wrestling parties for my friends. It's a lot of fun and we have plenty of food. Q. Finally, what else would you like to say? A. Oh boy — I feel sorry for my fellow Kiwanian Chuck Luckey, Carlos Verduzco at Streator Unlimited and my boss George Sharisky, because they are fans of those losers the White Sox.
